On the blog in Feb
Hi everyone! As the end of February approaches, we have some exciting updates to share with you.
We had a less-than-usually busy month, with some long-awaited features coming to completion. We also onboarded new clients, rolled out more Contensis integrations to even more users, and started planning the subsequent iterations. Let's dive into it.
Welcome to the Insytful community...EPA!
In February, we were delighted to start onboarding our latest client, The Irish Environmental Protection Agency. EPA is in good company, joining other organisations in the Insytful community, including Canterbury Christ Church University, Hertsmere Borough Council and West Suffolk NHS.
Same-Sign-On (SSO) and new login system
As mentioned, we have been redesigning how we manage accounts and authentication in Insytful. With this work completed, we now support Same-Sign-On and local accounts for various identity providers, including Entra ID and Google.
As a result, our login screen has now changed to support this change.

Sections
We are in the final phases of testing our sections feature and we are aiming to release it next week for Plus and Enterprise clients.
Site admins can group pages together based on
- Path
- Metadata tags
- And content owner rules
with customisable match conditions such as "includes," "excludes," "starts with," and "ends with."
Section scores update in real-time as pages are rescanned, allowing users to see how their changes impact their overall scores. For now, new sections created won't populate with data until the following site scan has been run. We will address this limitation in the next iteration of sections.
Please contact us if you are eager to roll out sections as soon as possible. We can set your sections up and start the new site scan to ensure everything is as needed
Insytful integration
Since its release in December, we have had 8 clients use the first version of the Contensis integration, with a further 3 clients interested in upgrading. We've had some great feedback and some initial future feature requests.
Our most requested features for future iterations have been:
- A workflow integration to prevent entries with issues being published
- Broken links and misspellings identified within the entry editor
- And being able to identify issues with the entry editor as well.
Based on this feedback, we are discussing user stories with the Contensis product team, defining editor expectations, and hoping to give you further information soon.
Bugs and other honourable mentions
In addition to the larger feature updates and releases, we have also made some minor bug fixes to keep enhancing the user experience within the app. A few noteworthy updates include:
- A fix for a rendering issue on the Metadata tab where HTML entities such as "&" for "&" were not rendering correctly.
- A fix for a bug where landscape PDFs were rendering incorrectly and taking up all the real estate in the PDF viewer.
- We stopped unnecessary network re-fetches and retries for failed requests and made the app a lot more performant.

Are broken links killing your website's vibe?
Broken links are a silent SEO killer. Most website owners are unaware of their broken links because they wouldn't be broken if you knew you had them. Right?
Alongside increasing bounce rates and stopping search engines from crawling your website, broken links are frustrating to web visitors, too. Check out the 404 blog and discover why they should be a high-priority fix for any website owner.
What is the European Accessibility Act?
Is your business ready for the EAA? The European Accessibility Act will come into force in June 2025, affecting public and private sector businesses operating in Europe. Non-compliance can cause organisations to face severe fines of up to €300,000.
Find out what it means for your business in our latest blog, The European Accessibility Act (EAA) 2025: What it means for your business.
